Ducts are run vertically at the inside of the home so the next step is to run the ductwork horizontally between the floor joists to an interior wall.

In this example you can see the duct come from the first floor basement through an interior wall and then up through the 2nd floor at the exterior of the home.

The seal plate is reassessed 6 from the edge of concrete and the wall sits in 2 from edge of seal plate so it s like a stair step concrete then seal then 2x4 wall framing how do i drill up into the wall cavity at this odd angle.
Solutionwhen running wire through a floor system drill properly sized holes or use a running board photo far left that s at least a 1x4.
For the horizontal portion of the cable run this can involve drilling holes in the joists where the cable will pass.
On the second floor run wires down the wall from the attic.
Hurry to the next floor now and drill a hole in the bottom wall.
Now go up to your attic or down to the basement or crawlspace and drill a hole in the top or bottom wall plate in the same wall cavity as the outlet.
Attach the wire or cable to a fish tape or coat hanger using electrical tape and feed it into the hole until it reaches the opening at the other end.
Pull the e thernet cable to its destination and you re set.
